Imelda May launched her album Tribal in the Thomas House to an invited audience. She liked the short I wore on the previous occasion when I met her and of course she laughed and remarked upon it this time! Imelda treated us all fish and chips from her much loved local chip shop (Fusco’s, Meath Street).
Her parents looked on proudly and when she handed the microphone to her dad the audience gave the biggest cheer of the night.
‘I’m proud of my girl’ he said.
‘And this is the best show, I mean the best show I’ve ever seen her do. I’m so proud but I love all the rest of them [siblings] just as much.’
Imelda took the microphone back replying ‘I got it back off him quick tonight. He’d go on forever if you let him!’
