Co Waterford GP Jim Stacey pointed out that there are “wide variations in the conditions and remuneration and hours of work” for out-of-hours work by GPs. “There is a jigsaw puzzle of conditions for the doctors involved,” he said. A motion calling for standardized co-op systems was discussed and passed.
